VT wonen & design

This trade fair that began as simply ‘De Woonbeurs’ in the early 90s, grew to become the largest trade fair for furniture and homeware in the Netherlands. It features everything for the home from furniture, to lighting, bedroom furnishings, floors, wall coverings, accessories, etc. Today known as the VT Wonen&Design Beurs, it’s not just about furnishing homes; some stands also present the latest developments in such areas as home renovation.

Trend and style-conscious consumers can get inspiration from the unique, life-size homes originally displayed in Dutch home decorating magazines like VTwonen, Ariadne at Home and Eigen Huis & Interieur. Visitors can also attend lectures or obtain personal advice for the building or renovation of a house as well as practical solutions for any question about furnishings and homeware.

This year, VDE plant and NTRLK (interior planting) teamed up at this trade fair to decorate the VTwonen house with plants. For us, it was heart-warming to see that interior designers are adding more plants to their plans and doing so more often. Consumers also seem to be more aware of the fact that plants benefit their health and really add something special to a home. The air-purifying Ogreen plants were also on display at this trade fair; VDE plant is the supplier of this brand.

Every year, around 70,000 people visit the VT Wonen&Design Beurs: the biggest and most interesting event for home furnishings and accessories in the Netherlands. For us, it was a chance to see how consumers responded to all the beautiful plants in the VTwonen inspiration home: plenty of ways to make decorative use of plants!
