Proud to be part of the Hillenraad 100

Last week, the Hillenraad 100 was announced. These are the 100 most leading companies in Dutch (glass) horticulture.

We are proud to have achieved the 96th spot in this list during its 20th anniversary edition this year! This recognition confirms that we are fully committed to product innovation in green plants and socially contribute to improving the living environment in homes, classrooms, and at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital.

We thank our amazing team and continue to work together, with full enthusiasm, on beautiful products that green the living environment of consumers every day!

The jury report:

VDE Plant sets the standard when it comes to product innovation in green potted plants. Not just in new varieties or types, but in complete consumer-worthy concepts under the Intenz label. This collection is entirely of today’s time and completely ‘zen’. With polished product photos, the webshop visitor is easily tempted to place an order. All the plants come from our own nursery in Woubrugge. There, a team of 85 employees processes about 8 million plants annually on over 12 hectares. The family business makes it easy for consumers, even those without a green thumb, with the Hydroponics concept: the plants sit in water, so you can instantly see if they need water.

It is lovely to read that VDE Plant contributed to the greening of the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, where a green oasis provides a less stressful environment. And because the entrepreneurs are also convinced of the effects of greenery in education, they are happy to participate in projects where plants are placed in classrooms and children learn more about plants. Social relevance seems to be an important driving force here. Beautiful!
